ABSTRACT: This study examines the role of early childhood education in teaching equality among young children. Objectives include evaluating children's understanding of equality, identifying effective educational practices, and assessing the long-term benefits of early equality education. A survey design was chosen for its effectiveness in collecting comprehensive data. Purposive sampling was employed to select 180 children from preschools in Ogun State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that children exposed to equality-focused education demonstrated a better understanding and practice of equality. Activities such as inclusive group activities, discussions on equal rights, and promoting diverse representation in learning materials were particularly effective. The study recommended integrating equality education into early childhood programs to foster respect for equality from an early age.
